Jonathan F. Foster
Founder and Managing Director
Jon has spent more than 30 years primarily as an investment banker, corporate director and private equity investor focused largely on industrial and business services companies. He is also an experienced expert witness in corporate litigation. Jon spent most of his investment banking career at Lazard, ultimately as a Managing Director, focused on mergers and acquisitions and financial sponsors. He has served on some 35 boards of directors; as chairman, as well as headed audit, compensation and governance committees for smaller private companies to companies being restructured to several Fortune 500 companies. His private equity background includes serving as a Managing Director and member of the Management and Executive Committees at Cypress Group, a $3.5 billion private equity firm, and as Executive Vice President at Revolution Living, part of the investment effort established by Steve Case, the Co-Founder of AOL. Jon speaks and writes regularly on mergers and acquisitions, finance and governance issues.
Kevin J. Smith
Kevin has spent over 30 years as an investment banker focused primarily on industrial, services and consumer products companies in the public and private markets. He has particular expertise helping large family businesses, entrepreneurs, executives and companies evaluate strategic and financial options. Kevin also works extensively with private equity firms. He began his career at JP Morgan Chase, and was Head of Diversified Industrials at Wachovia Securities (later Wells Fargo). More recently, he drove the build-out of the Industrial Investment Banking Business at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) in New York.
Larry G. Wash
Larry has spent over 25 years as a senior executive in the industrial services industry. With extensive experience running global organizations, Larry is skilled at developing strategic direction and implementing operational improvements to profitably grow businesses. He was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for KONE Americas, and served as a member of KONE’s Executive Board. Prior to joining KONE, Larry was President of Global Services for the Climate Solutions and Trane divisions of Ingersoll Rand. Before joining Ingersoll Rand, Larry held senior positions at Trane Building Services and Xerox Corporation. Larry continues to be a well-respected thought leader, published author and speaker on smart buildings, services innovation, solution selling and emerging IoT services.
Greg M. Hartley
Greg has spent almost 22 years in developing and delivering business optimization and operational excellence across multiple business streams and disciplines in the Manufacturing and Services sectors, including leading turn-around efforts and business transformation initiatives at KONE Elevator, Ingersoll Rand, Trane Services, Hussmann and American Standard. He has driven significant profitability improvements in Service, Installation, Equipment, and Parts at his various career stops. Prior to working for corporates, Greg began his career in the military as an intelligence collector, interrogator, and interrogation trainer, where he became a subject matter expert for body language and behavior. Today he is recognized as one of the world’s top body language and behavior experts and co-hosts a weekly YouTube channel called The Behavior Panel, which has gained over 20 million views since its creation in May 2020. Greg has successfully been able to transfer his knowledge of human behavior to the corporate world and private equity investors, providing deep expertise of how business works with unique expertise in how people work.
